Rob Trigg is one of those guys that came to UC as a relatively unheralded recruit. He was considered a two star guy coming out of Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton. He played in six games as a true freshman in 2007 behind guys like Angelo Craig, Anthony Hoke and Lemonte Nelms. He was a backup in 2008 behind Nelms and Connor Barwin. He was expected to be a fixture in the rotation at OLB/DE in 2009, he recorded 2.5 TFL against Southeast Missouri State before going down to injury for the season. Trigg saw action in 9 games in 2010, primarily on special teams.

The 2011 season has be the best of his career by far. He has played in all 11 games and has become a fixture in the defensive line rotation, particularly in the Joker Package and has turned in a career season with 10 tackles, 4 TFL, 2.5 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles. Highlights available after the jump.
