Cincinnati Bearcats Wide Receiver Anthony McClung has been named the Big East's player of the week for the final week of the season after posting a career day in the Bearcats 35-27 win over the Connecticut Huskies. Here is the blurb from the Big East's official release.
McClung was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week after he had eight catches for a career-high 142 yards with two touchdowns to help Cincinnati to a 35-27 win against Connecticut, giving the Bearcats a share of their third BIG EAST title in the last four years. McClung had touchdown receptions of 13 and 31 yards, giving him a team-high five touchdown receptions in the regular season.
McClung is the third Bearcat to be named offensive player of the week, the other two being Zach Collaros for his fine work against South Florida and Isaiah Pead for his breakout against Louisville.
