JUCO Signees In College Football

+

I came across this article about JUCO signees in college and figured I would try a quick where are they now deal with the five JUCO's UC signed between 2007 and 2010. Jamar Howard - 2009 - Played in 5 games in two years, caught 3 balls for 50 yards Malik James - 2009 - Participated in fall camp in 09, quit the team when he failed to win a starting job at corner. Transferred to Nevada where he sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules. He has two years to play for the Wolfpack. Monte Taylor - 2009 - From the same JUCO as James. He signed but wasn't qualified to participate academically for the 2009 academic year. Joined the team for the 2010 season, played in 10 games posting 7 tackles, 2 TFL's and 1 sack. Has one year to play. Robert Martin - 2010 - A late addition to the 2010 class as a linebacker. But he never enrolled at UC and hasn't been heard from again. Kenbrell Thompkins - 2010 - Originally a Tennessee signee Thompkins enrolled, but never attended class in Knoxville after Lane Kiffin bailed for USC. He received his release but wasn't granted eligibility by the NCAA. He is expected to be a starter in 2011 and has 3 years to play 2. Needless to say UC has had and up and down experience with JUCO recruits lately.
