Trent Cole
so, absolutely Mardy was THE Man when he was here. His story was, well, story book like. Absolutely inspiring. With that said, Trent Cole is probably THE best UC grad in the NFL, maybe ever? Admittedly I don’t know who could have come out of UC back in the day. He is an absolute beast. I was just listening to a Bill Simmons podcast w/Mike Lombardi and Mike described Trent as one of 5 ‘blue chippers’ at DE.
Sadly, as i’m writing this I’m seeing that Mardy just got cut by the Rams. Damn shame, b/c w/Josh McDaniels calling the plays it could have been a big opportunity to shine. Supposedly the playbook was too complicated.
