The Battle for the Bell is now, officially, sold out. It was going to happen, Whit Babcock said so.
Tix sales brisk for Sat's H'coming game. Less than 950 left. & my son mowed yard for 1st time evr. Both equally pleasing & hopefully continu— Whit Babcock (@WhitBabcock) September 30, 2012
This is, to my knowledge, the first Battle for the Bell that has sold out at Nippert in a decade, and probably much, much longer than that. But surprisingly finding records for that kind of stuff is harder than you would expect. I know for sure that the Greg Cook game in 1968 was sold out, other than that its a crap shoot.
The game is a whiteout, so you know what that means right? It means a closer than it should be contest against a highly motivated road foe. Thats's what history tells us. Time will tell if this Miami game follows that script. But enjoy this trailer for Saturday.
