Today's game against the Friars of Providence marks the official start of the home stretch. Six games left and the Bearcats are on the bubble. Probably on the good side of it, but still on it. The common consensus is that 4-2 in the final six will result in some dancing. 3-3 and a run in the Big East Tournament will be required.

Providence is last in the conference standings but already have a shock result against the Louisville Cardinals. They have talent and have been a pain in the ass for a lot of teams. They just haven't won. This is a dangerous team. Also one that the Bearcats should be able to beat. at home. In basically a must win game. Winning won't clinch anything, losing would probably be a dagger in the heart of NCAA tourny chances without winning out. Tip is in 40 minutes on ESPNU, 700 WLW has the radio rights.
