Linebacker | Lettered 1994-1997
The story of Brad Jackson has a lot to do with the story of Rex Ryan landing with the Bearcats. Not long after Buddy Ryan sat down with his son's to teach them intricacies of the 4-6 defense Ryan landed on Rick Minter's staff and set about unleashing his ideas on an unsuspecting Conference USA.
For Ryan the biggest arrow in the quiver was Jackson a wrecking ball of a linebacker he was unleashed in Ryan's system and produced one of the greatest single seasons in UC history since the 70's. In 1997 Jackson had 15 or more tackles in 6 of the Bearcats 12 games including 23 against Boston College, the second best single game total in UC history. Jackson was named to the C-USA teams on three occasions, twice on the first team. Jackson went on to a 8 year career in the NFL and won a Super Bowl ring with the Ravens.
