Wide Receiver | Letters 2007-10
Well there is this. There is always that. And this. The story of Binns and UC is still a bit weird. Somehow the Bearcats managed to unearth a gem in Pasadena, a guy that no one out west paid much attention to. They bring him to Clifton where he plays immediately, but doesn't really produce a ton in either the 2007 or 2008 seasons behind a combination of Bones, Mardy Gilyard and Dominick Goodman. When Goodman moved on Binns became the guy opposite Mardy.
And then 2010 happened. The Bearcats season was a disaster that year, but Binns was the brightest star on the team by far. He led the Big East in receptions, yards and TD's on way to a First Team All Big East selection. And he turned in some truly dominating performances, including a stretch of 7 games where he averaged 120 yards per game. And there was that Louisville game which he basically won himself.
