Defensive Back | Letters 1990-1993
Jocelyn Borgella is one of the best coverage defensive backs in Bearcats history. There is a little doubt about that. He is one only five defensive backs with double digit career interceptions.* But what is most interesting to me is his consistency as the only Bearcat in history to lead the team in interceptions in three consecutive seasons (1991-93).
* Mike Mickens, Blue Adams, DeAngelo Smith, and Ed Bolis are the others.
Borgella was also a a dynamic threat with the ball in his hands as only Mike Mickens has more interception return yards than Borgella did. All in all Borgella is one of the best defensive backs in Bearcats history.
