It is full bore Football mode here at Down The Drive for the remainder of August, but there is one bit of Basketball news to hit before I, you and everyone mainlines Football for the next two months. Today Mick Cronin and crew announced the non conference slate for the Bearcats this year. The main plot points have been around for months, the Global Sports Classic which will feature Oregon, UNLV and Iowa State in addition to the Bearcats. The newly inked home and home with New Mexico, the newly branded Xavier game downtown and the Big East/SEC Challenge game with Alabama. All that was left was to fill out the remainder of the schedule which has been done, and it features just as many cupcakes as you would want or expect.
