That's right, no school since 2005 has enjoyed a better turnover margin than the 2013 Houston Cougars. They are winning the turnover battle by an average of 2.2 per game. The next closest in FBS is Buffalo at plus-1.45 per game -- a full six total turnovers created less.
The Bearcats are still -4 on the year in turnover margin, though they have tied or won the turnover battle in four of the last five games. The one loss came against SMU when the Bearcats turnovers allowed SMU to get back in the ball game.
Quarterback Brendon Kay: For the third straight week the Cougars will get a test at quarterback. Kay is second in the nation with a 72.6 percent completion percentage and is coming off a big game against Rutgers, throwing for 405 yards and four touchdowns.
Before last night, Justin Jackson had never made 9 field goals in a game. He had never scored more than 14. Hell, Jackson had 5 double digit scoring games period coming into the game. Wright State last year was the only time Jackson had attempted double digit field goals. We had never seen him so aggressive offensively
