Cincinnati Bearcats Football Newcomers

The whole lot of Football freshmen are in Cincinnati now. The summer strength and conditioning program will be coming to a halt at the end of the month and everyone must report by the 4th of August. So now is obviously the time to start breaking down the newcomers as they stand today.

Still Tommy Tuberville and his staff went out and got a pair of Junior College defensive backs in Howard Wilder and Darren Doston but where will they fit in. In recent years the Bearcats have loaded up on linebackers in signing classes. But some of those linebackers don't make it to campus because of grades or other issues. Others make it, aren't prepared for the speed of the game or life in college and leave. This class brings all those issues to the forefront once again.

Incoming! Defensive Line Reinforcements

There will be chances for the incoming defensive linemen to carve out spots in the rotation from day one. UC has to replace three long term starters and rotational cogs in Walter Stewart, Brandon MIlls and Dan Giordano. Terrell Hartsfield and Jerrell Jordan followed Tuberville from Texas Tech where they were previously committed. They will be relied on this year.
