Munchie Legaux drew the start over long presumed starter Brendon Kay and was perfectly acceptable. He wasn't perfect, but perfect is probably not a club that he has in his bag at this point. Acceptable will do. If the defense continues to play at this level acceptable quarterback play will go a long way. Purdue took nearly three quarters to top 100 yards of offense and finished with just 226 yards. They averaged just 3.9 yards per play and turned the ball over four times.
This game was simultaneously a dominating win, and a sloppy performance. Whatever questions existed about the potential ceiling of this team should be answered. UC is perfectly capable of running the table going into the season ending game with Louisville. I am not predicting that, but it is clearly on the table because this team is only going to get better.
