Why Did Bearcat Fans Lose Their Mind

Bearcat fans lost their minds on Sunday and Monday. Not all of them, nothing close to a majority, and probably nothing as big as 20 percent. But the group that went off the rails went OFF the rails. Message boards across Bearcat Nation became a special cul-de-sac just off the 5th circle of hell. Twitter became a vessel for a special kind of bile that is produced in a place I never want to visit. What I don't get is why?

UC's Ongoing Search For An Offensive Identity

For as bad as Cincinnati played on defense the questions coming out of the game are all about the offense. Where does Eddie Gran go from here, and how does he begin to find a calling card for an offense that has, for two weeks, tried to do a little bit of everything well, but has done nothing great? The Bearcats obviously have problems, but of what provenience and type?

Tommy Tuberville Needs A Big Game From The DL

For as much as the Bearcats dominated the Purdue offense the Bearcats defensive line did not make itself felt against the Boilermakers, at least not in the boxscore. To contain Illinois passing game the defensive line has to show up in a big way.

Down The Drive Staff Picks; Illinois

taking the lay of the land.

While Illinois struggled with Southern Illinois, UC was off trouncing Purdue. Should be a walk in the park for the Bearcats this week, right? Well, a true road game at a Big Ten opponent is not often going to be a cakewalk. Illinois, on paper, is terrible. UC is more talented and (hopefully) Brendon Kay will see more action. But I still can't see this one getting as much out of hand as Purdue, so I'll keep it somewhat closer and say Bearcats with a business-like 27-17 win in Champaign with the only reason it isn't a blowout being that it's on the road.

Bearcats @ Illinois Keys To The Game

Last season the Bearcats did not have a true road game until mid October. In 2013 the first road game comes in week two as the Bearcats head to Champaign-Urbana to face the Fighting Illini. The Bearcats are favored to win, but the Illini pose some problems for the Bearcats.

Film Study; Munchie, Morrison and The Deep Cross
