Bearcats Will Host ECU On A Thursday Night

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The game was originally slated for a Saturday will now be taking place on Thursday night at Paul Brown Stadium.

Here is the press release from UC.

The Bearcats and Pirates will play on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at 7 p.m. ET inside Paul Brown Stadium in a game televised by ESPN2. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 15.

That gives the Bearcats three home weeknight games for the season, including two on Friday's, and four such games for the season. That is the most for the Bearcats in a season since the 2009 season which also had four such games if my memory is correct. Although one of those 2009 games was on Labor Day in the first weekend of the season. Still a weekday game, but not really.

It will be interesting to see how all these weekday games affect attendance in Paul Brown Stadium. Traditionally weekday games have been pretty good to the Bearcats, Thursday's in particular. But with this game being played downtown its hard to tell. One thing is clear about this year; with the schedule being as wonky as it is the vibe will be really different.
