The Season To Date In A GIF
UConn will be the fourth straight opponent that is winless coming into the game, and boy have they earned it. It started with a disaster against Townson. A loss that became rock bottom, but rock bottom would be adjusted downward once again. The Huskies followed that up by flirting with Maryland in the return of Edsall and Michigan. And then they got hosed by Buffalo at Buffalo. Then Paul Pasqualoni got fired, and T.J. Weist got promoted, and everyone was happy. And then they lost to USF at home, on homecoming. So yeah, kicking themselves in the face is what they have done this year.
The UConn Media
Being THE team in the state means that there is a lot of journalistic firepower devoted to the Huskies. The Hartford Courant is the biggest newspaper in the state and their coverage of UConn is robust. The Connecticut Post is based out of Bridgeport and despite being closer to New York City than it is to Storrs they also have robust coverage of the Huskies. New Haven, also throws their hat into the UConn covering ring.
For the new media types there are our esteemed colleagues over at The UConn Blog. We Take The Stairs communicates mostly in GIF form and with sarcastic tweets, but more on that later. There is Dog House which is the "playful" major media outlet.
Who To Follow
Other Social Stuff
UConn has an Instagram (that is never updated), this one for the university might be a better look. There is also a fairly active facebook page and YouTube channel. There is a large and active message board community at The Boneyard in case you want to engage in trolling (not recommended or endorsed by Down The Drive). There are team sites on rivals and scout, but both seem to be ghost towns.
