Brendon Kay Named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player Of The Week

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

The Senior was so named after accounting for 288 yards and three touchdowns against Temple

Go Bearcats release.

Kay completed 31 of 37 passes (a conference-record 83.7 percent) for 270 yards and two touchdowns to go with a 4-yard rushing touchdown. Kay has thrown for 1,088 yards and nine touchdowns this season and has completed 71.4 percent of his passes.

The 31 pass completions and 37 attempts were both career highs for Kay. He completed his final 15 passes of the game Saturday, throwing for 136 yards and a TD in the second half.

That great performance came after a pair of rough outings for Kay against Miami and South Florida. He certainly looked very comfortable against the Owls in completing his final 15 passes of the game to put the contest out of reach.
