Houston has been battle-tested by its schedule. Cincinnati? Not so much. The Cougars are set to transform one of their solid efforts into a victory this weekend. They’ll catch the Bearcats a little off guard with their closing speed on both sides of the ball. In one of the more entertaining, under-the-radar games of the weekend, Houston is going to stake its claim to the No. 3 position in the American. Houston 34 Cincinnati 28
I thought Houston would lose the last two weeks and still thought they would beat Cincinnati. My opinion on that matter has changed. Cincinnati has played so well lately. They are focused on a singular goal, winning out. They are playing some damn good ball. That's not to say Houston hasn't, playing UCF and Louisville to one score games on the road is impressive in it's own right. I believe in the boys. Bring back the dub. Cincinnati 35 Houston 31
Cincinnati has really bought into Tommy Tuberville’s system of late and it is starting to pay big dividends as Brandon Kay is playing the best football of his career and the ground attack is rock solid as it has been in years past. I think Louisville put together a good blueprint for how you can beat Houston this past weekend and I expect the Bearcats to try and get to John O’Korn early and often. I like Cinnci on the road with the TD victory and the cover as they set up a showdown with Louisville with conference title implications next week. Cincinnati +2.5 is the pick
