Again, with Apologies for the Shameless Self-Promotion

Ty Hildenbrandt was gracious enough to have me on the Solid Verbal podcast last night.

With Apologies for the Shameless Self-Promotion

The fine fellows from the Half Cocked Podcast were kind enough to have me on the show to discuss Fighting Like Cats and Dogs, the 2013 college football season, and the Georgia Bulldogs' Palmetto State rivalries . . . both of them. Go 'Dawgs!

Programming Note: Dawg Sports Radio Appearance Scheduled for 5:10 P.M. Eastern Today

At 5:10 p.m. Eastern, roughly two hours from now, I am scheduled to call in to John Frary's ESPN Radio show on 1420 AM out of St. Augustine. If you're in the area, tune in, and, otherwise, follow the above link to listen. Go 'Dawgs!

Sunday Morning Quarterback Asks How Good Georgia Really Is

One telling stat is that the Bulldogs have lost nine straight games against teams that finished the season ranked, and have gone 2-14 against such squads since the start of the 2008 season. Ouch! Go 'Dawgs!

And So It Begins, the End of College Football...

Remember where you saw this first in 20 years when college football is extinct. Now mind you I'm no lawyer, but I am fairly certain that if this goes to trial and the judge awards settlement for the player over the school there will be some serious risk management discussions concerning the cost-benefit of having a football team. Smaller schools will go first but eventually, if this sets a precedent, every "walk on" in America will eventually take down even the grandest of houses, Belmont Hall. I hope it doesn't happen but I'm just sayin' this could be the beginning of the end. What do you think?

Talking Syracuse Football with the Three Point Stance Podcast

I talked Syracuse football, the Big East, and my prognostications for this year's college football national championship game with Pete Sonski of Big East Coast Bias on this week's Three Point Stance podcast.

Georgia Bulldogs Win National Title in EA Sports Simulation

This is being run by a Florida fan and a South Carolina fan, so I'm sure they're just trying to jinx us, but still. . . . Go 'Dawgs!

Programming Note: Dawg Sports Radio Appearance Set for 2:15 Eastern This Afternoon

I am slated to appear on the air with Deke Bellavia on ESPN 1350 AM out of New Orleans at 1:15 p.m. Central, which, if my math is correct, also is 2:15 pm. Eastern. Tune in, if you would, either on your radio, or by following the above link and clicking "Listen Live." Go 'Dawgs!

It's Official: College Football Will Have a Playoff

Also official: 1. It will expand. 2. It will create all manner of problems and controversies, solving nothing. 3. It will suck, but not enough to stop me from loving a sport that doesn't love me back, which has been true of just about every change in college football in my adult lifetime. Go 'Dawgs!
