After a game in early hibernation the Bearcat offense came out and put together the first good game since and they did it with unexpected contirbutions from unheralded players, and a huge effort from the biggest weapon in the quiver, Isaiah Pead.
- Isaiah Pead had a relatively low key game running the ball. 17 attempts for 80 yards and a true beauty of a touchdown. But the coaching staff made a concerted effort to get him the ball in all possible positions. Pead caught 9 balls for 112 yards and a TD. In all Pead averaged 7.38 yards per touch from scrimmage.
- Munchie Legaux looked much more comfortable, and the staff put him in positions to succeed, unlike last week. 13 of 22 for 169 yards and two TD's. That isn't a killer effort, but it is certainly enough to get the job done.
- The talk of twitter was the play of Jordan Luallen who ran three series on offense and produced a pair of field goals. His biggest contribution was on the ground where he added 77 yards to the bottom line
- I can't go any further without commending the offensive line on a great outing. Zero sacks allowed, 4 TFL allowed and 4.5 yards per carry produced.
Player | Targets | Catches | Catch Percent |

Defense
- Walter Stewart has been on a tear since the Louisville game, it continued on Saturday he was generally a terror logging 6 tackles, 1 sack and two passes broken up.
- John Hughes was a beast on the inside logging six tackles and half a sack
- Deven Drane is the best DB on the Bearcats roster and he played his best game of the season.
- Speaking of the DB's they have quietly put together two really good games against OK passing attacks. The pass efficiency defense has been 100.99 over the last two games. The average through the first 7 games of the year was 132.04 which is needless to say a marked improvement.
Special Teams
Despite Tony Milaino's missed field goal this was the most complete game in the kicking game for UC this season. Milaino rebounded from the miss to go 2 of 3, Pat O'Donnell averaged 54 yards per punt and had three downed inside the 20. Additionally UC got a big lift in the return game from Ralph Abernathy IV who had his best game in the return game and Isaiah Pead gave the Bearcats a shot in the arm returning punts. All in all the Bearcats special teams were actually special.
