D.J. Woods came to the University of Cincinnati as one of the most highly recruited players in recent history. He had offers from Michigan, Iowa, Auburn and Missouri among others and was committed to Nebraska and West Virginia before coaching changes drove him to seek other options. He came to UC and was an instant fixture in the rotation playing in all 14 games in 2008. He became a steady and reliable target over the years. If Woods was anything he was breathtakingly exciting. He had a knack for making some absolutely spectacular plays from the slot. While DJ had some issues with consistency and fumbling, particularly last year he was the kind of guy that coaches love. He is tough as nails and probably way more aggressive than a 6'1" 180 pound guy should be. Still you button up and follow that guy into battle because he is will always bring it. Woods will graduate ranking in the top 10 all time at UC for Catches, Receiving Yards and Receiving TD's. His 28 game streak with at least 1 reception broken in October against Miami and is the 4th longest in UC history. The D.J. Woods anthology is available for your viewing pleasure after the jump.
