Orion Woodard is one of two New Jersey boys that is going to be playing his last game in the Red and Black at Nippert Stadium, the other being Randy Martinez. Woodard came to UC expecting to be a part of the receiver rotation. That never quite came off as Woodard has only logged 3 catches for 30 yards in his four years in Clifton. Where Woodard has excelled during his career is in the special teams on the Kick and Punt coverage units. He has been among the Bearcats leaders for special teams tackles for the last two years. In 2019 Woodard recorded 8 solo stops and 4 assists. He has surpassed that effort in 2011. Through 11 games he has picked up 13 solo and 7 assisted tackles. That is an absurdly high level of production for a special teams player. Consider this UC has kicked or punted off 121 times in 2011 and 17 per cent of all kicks result in a tackle by Woodard.
