Coming into today UC had commits from 25 prospects with room for a couple more if things broke correctly for Butch Jones and the staff. With few exceptions those that were expected to sign did. The one member of the 2011 class that decided today was Chad Hannah, a 6'5" 220 pound defensive end from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida. Hannah is the second Tampa area prospect to pick UC in this class. John Jancek and Co. have made some serious inroads into the Tampa Bay area in this class. Prior to this year UC had not landed a single bay area prospect between 2002 and 2010. Hannah picked UC over offers from Rutgers, Illinois, USF, NC State, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt and assorted MAC schools.
