I call him Kila for a reason. Sean Kilpatrick's three pointer with 2.5 seconds left on the clock sealed a monumental road win for the Bearcats in the Big East. Keeping track of the relevant streaks that is 7 straight road wins in the Big East. Three straight wins over ranked teams and 10 wins in the last 11 outings since the Brawl. I don't think I am exaggerating by saying that there are very few teams that are hotter than the Bearcats right now.

This game sort of defined everything that I love about this team. Since the start of Big East play the Bearcats have made their money with last minute comebacks and playing clutch basketball down the stretch, particularly at the free throw line. That didn't happen tonight. UC was in firm control with 3 minutes to go, hell even with 2 minutes to go. But uncharacteristically the Bearcats struggled from the line down the stretch, played sloppy defense and Shabazz Naiper hit three from deep to bring the game to a tie with 10 seconds left. The Bearcats took it from there running off the make the Bearcats got it to Kilpatrick who set himself up with a 22 footer from the top of the key which he buried and closed the game. This game didn't go to form down the stretch, but they still showed the fortitude to withstand the onslaught of momentum from the Huskies and get another massive road win. I love this team right now, and so should you.
