Signing Day Wrap Ups
UC football announces 2012 Signing Class | UC Athletics Blog
"We are always going to take care of our home base here in Cincinnati and northern Kentucky," Jones said. "From there we branched out into a 115-mile radius from our campus, to Indianapolis, through the state of Ohio and then we moved into other areas of the country, Cleveland, Detroit, Florida and Memphis."
That has been the approach for Jones with the last two classes.
Signing Day: 30 added to Bearcat Family - Cincinnati Bearcats
Of the 30 new players, nine of them enrolled early. Jones believes that can only help push the program in the right direction. "To me that's critical as we continue to elevate our football program," Jones said. "You graduate a highly successful senior class, so to be able to bring nine individuals in I think that's going to make spring football extremely competitive."

"That's the best way to compete and have the opportunity to play early," said quarterback Bennie Coney from Plant City, FL. "I decided that if I got in early, I could learn the playbook and it would be fair game on the field."
Hard not to be impressed with the maturity of these guys
The Latest on Cincinnati Soft-Verbal Kenneth Bynum // Bearcats Nation
At this point, Bynum is expected to travel there this upcoming weekend (the 4th) and will probably make a decision shortly thereafter. There’s not much more for UC fans to do except wait and hope he sees that he will be seen as a highly rated athlete in the eyes of a Cincinnati versus a backup plan in the eyes of Tennessee.
I think the odds of getting Bynum to sign are slightly less than 50/00
Is Monty Madaris Reconsidering Cincinnati? // Bearcats Nation
There were hits (Ti’on Green) and misses (Dennis Norfleet, Eric Kinsey) but top-to-bottom this is the best group of prospects to ever sign with UC. But there is still one more mystery still unsolved and it involves Moeller wide receiver Monty Madaris. Just a few days ago, Madaris supposedly decided he was going to sign with Michigan State over Cincinnati. But mixed reports coming out of NSD have ultimately come to a single fact that he has not yet signed with the Spartans. According to Mike Dyer, who is all over recruiting in the 513, Madaris is still "undecided" per Moeller head coach John Rodenberg.
However, it became apparent early Wednesday night that Madaris hadn’t officially signed with the Spartans. Madaris was not listed on Michigan State’s signing day list on the university website.
The odds of Madaris being a Bearcat are 50/50 at best.
