This is the final regular season game of 2011-12 season. Really the only thing the Bearcats can win in this game is a double bye in the Big East Tournament starting on Tuesday. But help is needed to make that happen, namely West Virginia and Marquette beating South Florida and Georgetown. As of this writing West Virginia is winning, Marquette and Georgetown don't tip until 2.
The other thing at stake here is seeding for the Big Dance. At this point the sheer quantity of quality wins makes the Bearcats almost impossible to turn down by the NCAA committee. The terrible non conference slate caps UC's seed at a 10. Winning today and making a run in the Big East tournament could get the Bearcats to an 8 line. Losing today and UC flirts with the first four, obviously a bad thing. So get that win Cats.
