Cincinnati Bearcats Stun Virginia Tech With Late 39 Yard TD From Munchie Leguax

The Cincinnati Bearcats get a program shaping win in the District, beating Virginia Tech 27-24

Paul Frederiksen-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Bearcats went into Washington DC this afternoon desperately craving a big non conference win against a name program. Something that has escaped the Bearcats in the Butch Jones era, and much, much longer than that. Tonight they walk out of FedEx Field with just that, coming up with just that, courtesy of a monster game from Munchie Leguax.

There are a lot of parallels between this game, and the Pitt game from 2009, if you want to make them. In this case UC controlled the game from the outset, but wasted a ton of red zone opportunities, making the game closer than it should have been. Give Virginia Tech credit for continuing to battle. They took control of the game in the third, until Thomas went all Logan Thomas-ey and threw high in the redzone, and Arryn Chenault picked off the pass. Everyone made big plays, but Munchie Legaux made the biggest ones of all, and shut his haters up in the process.

Geuax Bearcats!
