"Matchup nightmare" might be best way to describe Eric Ebron. He's 6'4 245 lbs. and runs like a deer. He can jump over corners and safeties, he can run past linebackers. Even a Nick Temple type linebacker who uses his speed more this his physical stature. If you take a look at his highlights, you will immediately notice that he has great hands whether a defender is draped all over him or not.
All of these physical gifts that I wish I possessed earned Ebron a ton of recognition and awards. First team All-ACC, Mackey award finalist and a projected top 15 pick in the upcoming NFL draft. He owns the school record for receiving yards by a tight end in a game, season, and a career. Just for fun, he also passed Vernon Davis for most receiving yards by a tight end in season in ACC history. Did I mention he's only a junior? If you're wondering, yes, he had already announced he will forgo his senior season and enter April's NFL draft.
In my opinion, he should be the number one concern for the Bearcats defense. No one has really stopped him all season so I wouldn't rely on that. I just hope they can slow him down and limit his big plays. If I was a betting man, put me all in for Eric being a huge factor in the Belk Bowl and its outcome.
