Confirmed; Bearcats Starting Center Dan Sprague Out For The Season

For a solid couple of weeks there have been rumors and speculation behind the scenes that Dan Sprague's knee injury was very serious and would cost him this season. Tommy Tuberville made it official today by announcing the injury during his weekly press conference.

Deyshawn Bond has been preparing as if he is the starter for the better part of a week. So he won't be a shock starter. He knows its coming, which may or may not be good. Darren Hiller is very high on the redshirt freshman, that is why he is the only freshman on the offensive line two deep.

I think that Bond will be fine against Purdue, and in the long run as well. If he has to he can lean on Sam Longo and Austen Bujnoch for help with the adjustments to the protection schemes, and help with big Bruce Gaston when they are matched up.
