The Tricky Question of Pace For The UC Bearcats
For nine years, under three wildly divergent offensive coordinators, the bearcats averaged about 70 snaps a game. Which was, basically average. I would expect more plays per game from the Bearcats this year, here's why.

Dan Sprague Still Out, Deyshawn Bond On Deck
Cincinnati Bearcats starting center Dan Sprague is still out with the injury he suffered on Monday. He is being evaluated, but the Bearcats need to prepare for the possibility of red shirt freshman Deyshawn Bond starting at center against Purdue.

Brendon Kay Has Slept On Bad Beds
Thats why he hasn't practice. And Tubs won't name a starting QB without everyone in the competition being healthy. This very much feels like a shell game. At this point I don't expect him to name a starting QB.

Back Up Quarterbacks and Opportunity Costs
Eddie Gran and his staff have a dilemma, a presumptive starter who is not fully healthy. A much maligned back up who is making a charge, and a talented youngster gunning for the back up job, and a lot of meaningful experience. Whats the way forward

Nick Temple "We're the Best LB Corp In The Nation"
This is a talented group, and it is clear that they don't want for confidence. The expectations are raised for this group to a level usually only associated with the defensive line.

Austen Bujnoch Is The Bearcats Rock Up Front
The Elder grad is a senior this year and one of the team leaders. On an offensive line that returns all five starters Bujnoch is the unquestioned ringleader and a good bet to follow his fathers footsteps into the NFL.

Offense Shines In Bearcats First Scrimmage of 2013
Brendon Kay went deep to Chris Moore for a 75 yard score on the first play from scrimmage. This from a team that has made it something of a habit to score on the first play from scrimmage of the last two seasons. Not saying, just saying.
