Bearcats Blitz SMU 41-3 To End Losing Streak.

Coming into the day it had been three years and change since the Bearcats lost four games in a row. No one wanted that to happen, and the Bearcats had an obliging opponent in the SMU Mustangs across the ball.

I did not get a chance to watch the game, family obligations being iron clad as obligations go, but I did keep up as best I could with my slow and out of date phone being a constant source of contempt towards that effort. So I will reserve judgement on the performance until I get a chance to watch it in it's entirety, whenever that may be (probably tomorrow, possibly tonight if I feel extra ambitious).

So with that in mind I leave with these two points. Growth, any kind of growth, from this defense should be met with cheers and debauched celebrations. At the same time SMU is the worst football team in the country by a laughably huge margin. So, be happy for the improvement from this defense, but its way to early and SMU is too bad at football to hold this game up as a shining example in the favor of Hank Hughes. I will have a much more detailed recap tomorrow after I get to watch the game.
