College Football Week 6 Viewing Guide

There is a lot happening between noon and 7 PM, which is just perfect for Bearcat fans everywhere.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

On the face of it this is a much better and more interesting week of games across the country than we were treated to a week ago. Other than watching the entire Michigan fan base self immolate over the continuing existence of the Dave Brandon/ Brady Hoke double act there was not much intrigue or action. There will be more happening this week.

Starting tonight when we will be treated to a delightful rematch of last years very weird Arizona-Oregon game. The rematch will be held in Egugene, which is awesome, but will take some of the luster off the game. There is an interesting Utah State-BYU game that will kickoff at 10:15 eastern time and presumably last until 4 AM because both teams are big fans of the four hour game as a concept.

On saturday things will get interesting at noon as Texas A&M travels to Starkville to play the Bulldogs starting a 7 hour block of programing that could (but definitely won't) define the state of Mississippi as Ole Miss will host Alabama at 3:30. That will all be interesting, but what I want to see is Baylor and Texas because I always want to see Baylor in general, and I like seeing them battle their traditional nemesis. All of that happening between noon and about 7 PM, which is perfect, because you can ignore everything else that is happening once the Bearcats kickoff against Memphis.
