Tuberville Wants 15,000 For Bearcats Spring Game

Confined to the Shakely Athletic Center a year ago for the spring game Tommy Tuberville wants to see 15,000 in attendance at Paul Brown Stadium.

"We need to get 15,000 or so in the stadium," Tuberville said Tuesday, after UC's latest spring practice. "It should be a fun day, and the weather's going to be pretty nice. Come out and watch the 2014 Bearcats finish up spring practice."

If that comes off it would be by far the most heavily attended UC spring game. The 2008 spring game had close to 10,000 in attendance and is the largest that I can remember. Rain has been a consistent factor in keeping attendance down over the last couple of years.

Everyone who comes will have an eye on Gunner Kiel and the quarterbacks. Kiel remains the odds on favorite to win the job, but Jared Evans has made it interesting of late. Running back is another position to keep an eye on Saturday with EJ Junior making a strong push to join the rotation. Down The Drive will have a more expansive preview of position battles to watch going up Friday.
