Calling All Bearcats

In a tradition as old as time, when a blogger stands at the precipice of the off season and stares at the long desert that is the off season and realizes that he might need some help to get through it. A little food, a lot of water and a good camel or two. How would you like to be that Camel...that came out wrong.

USA TODAY Sports

Let me rephrase this. Much like the Joker our organisation is small but with a lot of potential for aggressive expansion. For instance there are many things that we would like to do as a site, such as a weekly podcast, that is tough to do without getting more writers to help spread the workload around.

At the current moment my esteemed Co. Manager Jeff Gentil is taking a bit of time away from the site and will be returning in winter when the basketball season comes back around. In the meantime we would like to have someone to help out Justin Post on the basketball side of the site. Finding another pair of hands to help with the basketball side of the site is the top priority, but that's not all we are looking for at Down The Drive. A brief summation of areas that we as a site would like to find some help in.

  • Recruiting coverage
  • Bearcats baseball
  • Olympic sports in general
  • Social media (mainly facebook, but other platforms as well)
  • Graphic design
  • Cincinnati High School Football
  • The aforementioned podcast
  • Nippert Stadium Renovation updates

These are all areas where we as a site and as a community would like to be far more active, but the time crunch stops us a bit short. If you have interest in any of these areas please do reach me at downthedrive at gmail.com to go more in depth with what you have in mind. If you have an idea that you think will generate interest and engage people that I haven't expressed above I would love to hear it. You don't get worse from hearing more ideas. Again if you have an interest in any of the above, or a heretofore unexpressed idea please feel free to contact me at downthedrive at gmail.com. Thanks guys, and Go Bearcats.
