According to this report from the Enquirer Kennedy-Palmore was wearing a helmet and protective gear but it was not enough to save his live.
Tommy Tuberville made this statement in the Enquirer report.
"Our football program and University has suffered another great tragedy. I'm a father first and a coach second and it's always hard to put your thoughts into words during times like these. Chamoda was a talented non-scholarship player and a key member of our scout teams. He worked hard and earned his spot on the roster. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family."
There are no words for this. All we can try to do is keep Chamoda, his family and all his friends in our thoughts. Another young man gone way before his time. RIP Chamoda.
RIP to my Brother/Teammate , he'll be watching us from above. #RipChamoda #BearcatNation

What else can I say? Remember Chamoda, remember Ben. Never leave for tomorrow what should be done today. Go tell everyone you love that you love them.
