Week 4 AP Top 25/Coaches Poll: Alabama and USC Fall

Upcoming Cincinnati opponents continue to push for Top 25 designation in both the AP Top 25 Poll and the Amway Coaches Poll.

The AP Top 25 and Coaches Polls were released yesterday following Week 3 of the College Football season. Alabama dropped 10 spots to No. 12, with their loss to Ole Miss, who jumped to 3rd in the AP Top 25 and 5th in the Coaches Poll. USC dropped 11 spots to No. 18 after losing to Stanford and Ohio State lost more first-place votes to the likes of Michigan State (Coaches) and Ole Miss (both).

The Cincinnati spin on the polls is once again focusing on the upcoming opponents. BYU remains right around the backend of both polls, ranked No. 23 in the AP Poll, but unranked in the Coaches Poll. Temple won a close one to UMass this past weekend, which keeps them undefeated, but also on the onside of each poll, receiving votes. Miami (FL) and Houston are climbing and Memphis received eight votes in the Coaches, but only one in the AP Poll.
