With the vomit-inducing memory of its last encounter with USF swirling around it, Cincinnati will play host to the Bulls at Nippert Stadium on Saturday night, marking its second foray into American Athletic Conference play.
Last season, in case you forgot, the Bulls defeated the Bearcats, 65-27, their second win against UC in the last three meetings.
More fresh in the minds of the Bearcats right now is its 27-20 escape act against Miami-Ohio last week, which earned them their 11th-straight Victory Bell. UC is 3-1 overall this season, with its one loss coming in a 40-16 setback against Houston in its AAC opener.
As for USF, perhaps specific vengeance will not be on its mind, but after being routed by Florida State last week, the Bulls (3-1, 0-0), who feature one of the better offenses in the country, will certainly be playing with something to prove, especially considering this is its first conference contest of the year.
