- Series history: UC has won three of the previous five meetings but Iowa State stole an 81-79 victory when these teams met at Fifth Third Arena last winter.
For the second time this season, the Cincinnati Bearcats will have a chance to knock off a nationally ranked opponent as they visit the No. 19 Iowa State Cyclones on Thursday.
UC (5-1) has won three-straight since falling to No. 21 Rhode Island in the Naismith Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Led by Kyle Washington and Jacob Evans, the Bearcats are set to invade Hilton Coliseum and challenge the Cyclones. However, with uncertainty about Gary Clark’s health hanging over their heads, the Bearcats may have a tougher road to victory.
Iowa State is also 5-1, but is coming off its first setback of the year, as it dropped a 73-71 decision to No. 8 Gonzaga in the championship game of the Advocare Invitational.
