Analysis
Pierce is an intriguing addition to the 2016 class. JUCO players typically are more polished because, well, they are played more. A little polish to a secondary that needed it this past season certainly wouldn't hurt. While highlights from Blinn College don't appear readily available, below are highlights from his senior year of high school at Dr. Phillips. Pierce shows good fluidity in his hips and has the natural movement of a cornerback, especially at his size. He seems to play the ball well in the air and plays with aggression when he needs to attack a ball-carrier in space or at the line of scrimmage. Again, his size is a major asset.
Cincinnati clearly likes what Pierce brings to the table with them seeking another commitment from the Florida-native. This is a player who could fit in nicely, especially with Cincinnati's secondary struggles of this past season.
