On Tuesday evening, the Cincinnati Bearcats women's basketball team will try to continue their winning ways against a strong UCF club.

The Bearcats head to Orlando's CFE Arena to face a revenge-minded, 12-7 Golden Knights team. On Jan. 4, the Bearcats outlasted UCF 63-57, who rallied from a 16 point fourth quarter to deficit to make it a competitive game.

Led by athletic senior guards Zykira Lewis and Aliyah Gregory, UCF has posted a 2-4 record in league play. Its early slate included several AAC powers. Expect that record to improve down the stretch as the Knights face more of the American's also-rans. Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson's team is simply too talented to struggle this much.

On the UC side, Shanice Johnson was selected to the AAC weekly honor roll for the second straight week on Monday. Johnson has been incredible this season, but was on fire last week, averaging 19.5 points, 12 rebounds, 5 steals, 4 assists and 2.5 blocks per game as the Bearcats extneded their winning streak to five games with victories against SMU and East Carolina. Neither of those victories came on the road, but the Bearcats are 4-2 away from home this season. That includes a 66-59 win at Memphis during the recent winning stretch.

Tuesday night's game is available online for viewing on the AAC Digital Network. Expect a challenging game for the Bearcats against an uptempo, athletic opponent.
