The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team make their 2017-2018 debut this Thursday night at 7:00 PM against the University of Findlay Oilers. The game will be held at the Cincinnati State Gymnasium.

The Bearcats enter the season as a veteran club looking to build on their 16-14 record. They are led by senior forward Shanice Johnson and senior point guard Ana Owens, two of the top returning players in the AAC. The Bearcats’ strong supporting cast also includes returning guards Nikira Goings and Sam Rodgers as well as forward Chelsea Warren.

The University of Findlay Oilers, who play Division II basketball in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, finished 13-15 last season. The Oilers are a similarly experienced team, returning three senior starters (Kendyl Hinton, Emily Molnar, and Haley Horstman), all of whom averaged better than 8 points per game in 2016-2017.

Live audio and video of the game will be available on GoBearcats.com.
