The University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team returns to action on Tuesday night November 21st.
The Bearcats will host Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) stalwart Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. at the St. Ursula Academy Gymnasium.
If you cannot attend, head on over to GoBearcats.com to watch the game live and online.
Cincinnati will be looking for its fourth consecutive win. On Saturday afternoon, the Bearcats beat in-state rival Miami (Ohio) by a score of 73-62.
Pitt enters the game with a 3-1 record. The Panthers have disposed of Towson, Youngstown State and Cornell with ease but dropped a 66-53 decision to crosstown rival Duquesne last Thursday.
The Pittsburgh Panthers went 13-17 in 2016-17, including a 4-12 mark in ACC play.
Pitt is led by the frontcourt tandem of Kalista Walters and Yacine Diop, both of whom play virtually every minute for the Panthers. Junior center Walters is a solid low-post presence who figures to be one of the ACC’s leaders in rebounds in 2017-2018. Junior forward Diop is one of the quickest frontcourt players in the country. She has an array of Kevin McHale-like moves in the low post and is as feisty as Michael Cooper on defense.
Despite Pitt’s pedestrian record last season, watch out for this team. They will go as far as their frontcourt talent leads them in 2017-2018.
