The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team returns to action this Sunday at 2 PM as they head down to Norfolk, Virginia for a tilt with the Old Dominion University (ODU) Monarchs from the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).

Cincinnati enters the game with a 5-3 record. On Thursday night, they defeated Southeast Missouri State 65-52.

Old Dominion has struggled in the early going in 2017-2018. They currently hold a 1-6 record. To a great extent, this is a product of ODU’s tough early schedule, which has included three games in the Preseason WNIT as well as contests against highly touted Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponents Duke and North Carolina State.

The Monarchs earned their first win of the season on Thursday as they topped Coppin State 75-67.

Freshman guard Victoria Morris, who is a Cincinnati native and North College Hill High School alum, has emerged in the early going as the Monarchs’ top scorer. She is currently averaging just under 13 points per game. 6’1 Senior forward Odegua Oigbokie leads the team in rebounding and is averaging nearly 11 points per game.

The game will be televised online on CUSA.tv. Check back with Down the Drive for complete post-game coverage.
