The Cincinnati Bearcats’ women’s basketball team righted its ship on Saturday. They scored an important home win against the Memphis Tigers, which improved the Bearcats’ record to 16-10 overall and 7-6 in AAC play.
Shanice Johnson led the way for Cincinnati, as she often has this season. The junior forward pushed around Memphis, posting 19 points and 13 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season. Ana Owens kicked in 15 points while Angel Rizor added 12 off the bench for the win.
Cincinnati will head out on the road once again this week. They play down in Greenville, North Carolina against the East Carolina Pirates on Wednesday night.
