Career Numbers
- 29 points
- 13 rebounds
- 68 minutes played
Zack Tobler hails from Fort Mitchel, Kentucky which is just about 25 minutes from Cincinnati’s campus. As you can see from the numbers he posted in his time as a Bearcat, Tobler was never a star athlete but he was a star to the fans. When Tobler came off the bench to close out games, you would have thought that Tobler was the best player in the country based on crowd reactions alone.
Tobler’s story is more than just on the court. Coach Mick Cronin praises him as both an athlete and a person. To be on a program like UC and ride the bench cannot be easy, but Tobler remained grateful during his time and was a big time help in practice by pushing starters to be their very best.
Best of the Best
- Tobler’s best game as a senior at UC came against Fairleigh Dickinson when he scored five points, grabbed two rebounds and came away with a steal as well.
- He had another five-point outing last season against Arkansas Pine Bluff when he added two more rebounds as well.
A Final Goodbye
A player like Zack Tobler comes to a program very rarely. A young man, who didn't get much playing time at all but still got a big crowd reactions when he did during a special part we call #ToblerTime. Although he wasn’t in the papers after game days, and he never made the Sportscenter morning highlight reel, Zack Tobler will always be a special part of the Bearcat family.
