Jayshon Jackson Chooses UC After Decommitting From Toledo

A three-star receiver from Chicago, Jackson changed his mind this week.

Luke Fickell continues to make a strong impression, and not just on recruits from Cincinnati. On Friday the Bearcats got a commitment from three-star wide receiver Jayshon Jackson, who hails from Chicago. Jackson will be part of the 2018 recruiting class.

Jackson’s road to UC was not your average one. He committed to Toledo at the end of February but then received an offer from the Bearcats on May 4. He made a visit to UC a couple weeks later (specifically on May 22) and then decommitted from Toledo earlier this week. It wasn’t long before he decided to join the Bearcats.

Jackson is a three-star wide receiver, ranked the No. 37 recruit in the state of Illinois by 247Sports. He is also pegged as the No. 188 wide receiver in the 2018 class. The 5’10”, 165-pound receiver also got offers from Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Miami (Ohio) and Western Michigan.
