Cincinnati Bearcats Add No. 30 Pro-Style QB in 2018 Class

The Bearcats now have the No. 1 2018 recruiting class in the American Athletic Conference.

Less than a month ago, we went over the 2018 quarterback targets for the Cincinnati Bearcats. At the top of the list was Ben Bryant, a three-star signal caller from La Grange, Illinois. We noted that Bryant was leaning toward UC in that original post and now we can go a step further as he has officially committed to UC.

Bryant turned down offers from Wisconsin, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Temple and West Virginia for the chance to strap on the red and black. A 6’3 pro-style quarterback, Bryant is ranked the No. 13 recruit in the state of Illinois and the No. 30 pro-style QB in the 2018 class.

Bryant is the second recruit to commit in as many days that could line up under center, as fellow three-star prospect Yanez Rogers, who committed yesterday, can also play the position. Bryant’s commitment shoots UC up to the No. 36 spot among 2018 recruiting classes nationally and first place in the American Athletic Conference according to 247Sports. Bryant and Rogers are obviously a big part of that, with four-star defensive end Malik Vann the real jewel of the class.
