Cortez Broughton is a great defensive tackle and the Cincinnati Bearcats are that much closer to having their next great player at the position. Aeneas Hawkins, a much lauded DT recruit from Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, cut the list of teams he is deciding between to two over the weekend and the Bearcats are still in the running, with Penn State the other finalist.
And then there were two... Commitment coming very soon. Stay Tuned! pic.twitter.com/cBXq207Ap9

Hawkins is considered the No. 284 overall recruit in the 2018 class and has a four-star distinction from 247Sports. He is also considered a top 25 defensive tackle recruit and a top 15 prospect from the state of Ohio. The fact that the Bearcats have made it this far shows just how much Luke Fickell meant it when he said he was going to focus on recruiting the city of Cincinnati and the state of Ohio itself. Hawkins has a total of 34 offers at his disposal, so even being considered is a tough task. The fact that he’s very seriously considering UC means a lot about the recruiting being done by Al Washington and the rest of the staff. Hawkins has made three unofficial visits to UC since March and already has a supporter in the 2018 class.
We can do this brother. https://t.co/LKrqp1hAKz
