How to Watch: Cincinnati Bearcats at Navy Midshipmen

Here’s how to get the Bearcats’ American Athletic Conference all up in your eyeballs.

  • Series history: We’ve pumped up the lengthy gap between meetings for these teams, but in case you need a reminder, this is the first matchup since 1956 and just the second ever. Navy has won both.

Fresh off a shocking win in the Battle for the Victory Bell, the Cincinnati Bearcats will look to get revenge against the Navy Midshipmen in their American Athletic Conference opener at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Thanks to Malik Clements, UC is not only 2-1 overall but in possession of the Victory Bell for the 12th-straight season. Clements ran back an interception 14 yards for a touchdown, catapulting UC to a 21-17 win over the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks. The Bearcats are now hovering above .500 and set for the final game of a three-game road trip, which ends next week against Marshall. But first, they will try to beat a Navy team they haven’t played since 1956.

Navy has yet to lose! Wow. Much impressive. So winning. Forced Doge meme. Before we hand the Midshipmen the national title, remember they’ve played only two games, although they did win their league opener against Tulane, but just barely (23-21).
