Officially call it a winning streak.
The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team has won their fourth straight game, pummeling conference rival SMU down in Dallas at Moody Coliseum, 58-40.
Cincinnati improves to 13-7 with the win and 5-2 in the American. SMU fell to 1-6 in the conference and 7-13 overall with the loss.
Cincinnati took an early lead, jumping to a 19-11 first quarter advantage which they never relinquished.
Senior point guard Ana Owens led the way for Cincinnati with 14 points while frontcourt stalwart Shanice Johnson battled her way to 8 points and 7 rebounds.
The Bearcats return to action on Saturday January 27th at home at 2 PM against the East Carolina Pirates. It can be watched online at GoBearcats.com.
